Chris Parkhurst has built his reputation the hard way — in the courtroom. Licensed to practice since 1999, he has defended clients charged with everything from misdemeanors to serious felonies in more than 30 of California's 58 counties, earning dismissals and acquittals in Sacramento, Yolo, and Placer counties along the way.

Every client works directly with one of our attorneys — not a case manager. Your attorney handles the criminal case, the DUI representation, and the DMV Administrative Per Se hearing. In most matters, clients never have to set foot in court; unless a case goes to trial, your attorney appears on your behalf.

Before opening his own criminal defense firm, Chris practiced with two Sacramento defense firms. His path to the law was anything but ordinary: he worked as a group home counselor, a special education teacher, a social services contract developer, and a Head Start program administrator — experience that shapes how he understands his clients and their circumstances.
