Your case is filed by the Butte County District Attorney and heard at the Butte County Superior Court, in Oroville. The same court, the same prosecutor's office and the same charging practices apply as they would to a case out of Chico. The police department changes from city to city. The court does not.

Magalia is unincorporated, so that is a Butte County Sheriff arrest rather than Paradise PD. The case is still filed by the same District Attorney and heard in Oroville, but the report comes from a different agency with a different records system.
I was stopped on the Skyway.
On the Skyway it is often the California Highway Patrol rather than Paradise PD, particularly on the stretches outside the town limits. They keep separate records. See DUI defence.
Do I have to appear in court myself?
